Prevention of cross-infection between patients is a high priority in the practice.
Measures taken include:
- Sterilisation of stainless steel instruments and handpieces in an autoclave;
- Rubber gloves and surgical masks always disposed of between patients;
- Needles are disposed of after single use;
- Purified water is plumbed through the equipment, and we have a system for removing potentially infectious biofilm from all waterlines.
